Quality skiing in Canada

I had always wanted to go skiing; I thought it would be one of the most exciting things to ever do. I had some family up in Canada and they recommended that I come up North and visit the Banff ski resort in Alberta. Banff has some of the best places to ski at in Canada and in the entire world.

When I came to Banff, I found out that the town is part of a national park which resides in the Canadian Rockies. In Banff you can learn some of the history of the Native American Indians and enjoy some nice restaurants and bars. When I arrived in Calgary, it only took me an hour and a half to make it to Banff.

There are three ski resorts that you will want to see for sure. They are Lake Louise, Sunshine Mountain and Mount Norquay. Mount Norquay is where I spent most of the time because it smaller and I believe it had some excellent slopes. The other two resorts were pretty good as well however I enjoyed Mount Norquay the most. I had to catch a bus to get to the resorts, but it was okay as the bus picked me up from the hotel I was staying at with my family. The time on the bus passes by quickly and then you are there at the resort.

The weather was pretty cold when we visited however luckily everyone remembered to take their equipment. The only thing I forgot was my shoes, I had only brought my Nike running shoes which would not have suited me on the slopes. My uncle had an extra pair of shoes which I was able to wear. From then on I had the time of my life learning to ski and spending time with my family. If you are coming to Canada I recommend that you visit Banff for its quality skiing and atmosphere.
